  • For calorie and sugar reduced baked foods, bake with sweetner suitable for baking (read your labels!)

  • Placing cookies on a light silver cookie sheet as opposed to a dark colored sheet will prevent cookies from burning more easily.

  • Refrain from crowding oven and opening the oven door too often, and always use the appropriate baking pan for baking food.

  • Turning oven on 5 to 10 minutes before baking allows time for it to heat to baking temperature.

  • Before measuring flour, be sure to stir flour to loosen; this gives a more accurate measurment.
